From our sommeliers
The Champagne 'MV20 Aÿ Grand Cru' by Henri Giraud encapsulates the soul of the village of Aÿ, cradle of the Maison since 1625. The initials MV indicate the Multi-Vintage method, which combines the base wine with a part of perpetual reserve started in 1990. The blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, from Grand Cru vineyards of Aÿ, matures for eleven months in oak barrels from the Argonne forest. In the glass, it presents golden yellow with amber reflections and fine perlage. Aromas of dried apricot, lychee, toasted hazelnut, and brioche bread precede a tense and mineral sip, of medium structure, with a long and citrusy finish. To be served with oven-baked sea bass with herbs
Colour:
Golden yellow with amber reflections, fine perlage
Scent:
Round and broad, with dried apricot, lychee, pear, toasted hazelnut, brioche bread, and a mineral iodic note
Taste:
Sip of medium structure, tense and fresh, with the typical sapidity of the limestone soils of Aÿ and a very persistent finish
