Irancy 'Les Mazelots' Goisot 2023

The Irancy ‘Les Mazelots’ by Goisot is the deepest Pinot Noir from the winery, from very old and expressive vines of Kimmeridgian soils in northern Burgundy. Here, some of the best reds of Auxerrois are produced. Vinified biodynamically, it ages for a long time in oak barrels to round out the intense profile that the Pinot from the area can express. On the nose, it is deep and spicy, with a side of cherry and berries, a touch of licorice, and a toasted hint. On the palate, it is complex and lively fresh, with fine tannins and a long deep finish, perfect with bœuf bourguignon or feathered game.
