The Lacryma Christi Rosé comes from 25-year-old pure Piedirosso grapes grown on the slopes of Vesuvius. After a few months of aging in steel, it shows a Mediterranean and volcanic profile with floral and fruity accents. The taste is driven by a mineral and saline freshness that makes it juicy, light, and easy to drink

The Campanian wine Lacryma Christi Rosato “Munazei” is born from the fruitful relationship between an indigenous grape variety, Piedirosso, and the territory of the Vesuvius National Park, which is highly suited for its cultivation. The result is a product with a savory and fresh sip, revealing a nose with a typically Mediterranean bouquet, from which marine nuances also emerge. A label signed by Casa Setaro that, among its many qualities, also boasts a particularly appealing final price.

The “Munazei” Lacryma Christi Rosato is made from the pure use of an indigenous red grape variety from Campania, Piedirosso. The vines of this variety, which are around 20 years old, are cultivated within the Vesuvius National Park and grow in vineyards located at 300-350 meters above sea level. The clusters are carefully selected during harvest and, once they arrive at the winemaking facilities of Casa Setaro, they are destemmed. The grapes undergo cryomaceration and, after pressing, the obtained must ferments in insulated steel silos. This is followed by aging, during which the wine remains to stabilize for a few months in steel, until the moment when the bottling procedures begin.

This Lacryma Christi Rosato “Munazei” presents itself visually with a typically cherry-red color, crossed by slight orange hues at the rim. The nose is teeming with fresh and subtle aromas, where small red fruits alternate with nuances of Mediterranean scrub and saline effluvia. On the palate, it is light-bodied, slender, and lively, with a sip characterized by a mineral imprint, very flavorful and tasty. Casa Setaro, a Campanian winery located in Trecase, gifts us with this rosé, the perfect label for toasting during the summer season.
