The Nuits-Saint-Georges by Philippe Bouchard is a well-structured and earthy Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits, the land of the most austere reds of Burgundy. On the nose, it is deep and spicy, with a side of dark fruit, hints of licorice, and an earthy note. On the palate, it is full and firm, with robust but fine tannins and vibrant freshness, finished with a long aftertaste, ideal with braised dishes or stewed wild boar.
